Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Affinity Cardworks (the "Site"), operated by Affinity Cardworks ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information about visitors. By using the Site you agree to this Policy and to our Terms & Conditions. The Site is intended only for adults aged 18 or older; we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Where your data is processed. The Site is operated from the United States and your information is processed there. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.

1. Information we collect

We collect:

  • Account information, the email address and password (stored only as a secure hash) you provide when registering.
  • Approximate location, derived from your IP address by our content-delivery provider (Cloudflare), used to apply age-verification rules that vary by US state. We use country and region/state-level signals; we do not use this to identify you personally.
  • Technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected in standard server logs to operate and secure the Site.
  • Analytics data, collected through Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site (for example, pages viewed, searches performed, and items added to cart or purchased). This is used in aggregate to improve the Site; see Section 4.
  • Order information, if you make a purchase: what you ordered and, for physical goods, the name and shipping address you provide so the order can be fulfilled.
2. Payment information

Payments are handled by a third-party, specialized ("high-risk") payment processor. Your full payment-card details are submitted directly to that processor and are not collected or stored on our servers. Card payments are processed in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The processor's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • operate, maintain, and secure the Site and your account;
  • apply age-verification and regional access rules required by law;
  • process and fulfill orders and respond to support requests;
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues.
4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar browser storage that are necessary for the Site to function, for example, to keep you signed in and to remember that you have passed the age-confirmation prompt for your session.

We also use Google Analytics, a web-analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and collects usage information (such as pages viewed, searches, and purchase activity) to help us measure and improve the Site. This information is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not permit Google to use this data for its own advertising purposes. Because we use analytics storage that is not strictly necessary, the Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals; you can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings or opt out using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Site, with categories of service providers such as:

  • Hosting / content delivery (including Cloudflare), to serve and secure the Site and provide approximate location for legal access rules;
  • Payment processing, our payment processor, to complete your purchases;
  • Email delivery, to send account-related messages;
  • Analytics (Google Analytics), to measure and improve how the Site is used.

We may also disclose information when required to comply with the law (such as a subpoena or court order), to enforce our Terms, to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Site and its users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not include third-party advertising tracking code on the Site.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Account information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure. Order and transaction records are kept as long as required by tax and accounting law. Technical server logs are kept for a limited period for security and operational purposes and are then deleted or anonymized. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashing of stored passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us through the contact channels on the Site; we may need to verify your identity before acting. You may close your account at any time.

California residents. If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us through the channels on the Site.

9. Children

The Site is strictly for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us through the channels on the Site and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
